Set in rural Indiana in 1933, The Diviners centers around the story of a teenager who posssesses the supernatural ability to divine water. A drowning survivor, he fears water but also feels its presence in the earth or sky.

The Diviners is directed by teacher Lee Drew and student director John Miyagi. The cast features Iolani students Jane Houle (Darlene Layman), Shenan Brown (Basil Bennett), Nani Weinberg (Luella Bennett), Cameron Yamashita (Melvin Wilder), David Hershinow (Dewey Maples), Liz Fong (Jennie Mae Layman), Chris Yamashita (Ferris Layman), Kristl Yuen (Norma Henshaw), Sharon Ogawa (Goldie Short), Daniel Honbo (C.C. Showers) and John Walk (Buddy Layman.)
